Last Sunday I saw Fleetwood Mac live for quite possibly the first and last time. I was fortunate enough to attend the sold out show at the MTS Center, large thanks goes out to the wonderful man who gave me tickets for my 23rd birthday. “Rumours” is without a doubt one of my all time favorite albums and I almost lost my mind when they opened up with “Second Hand News”, “The Chain” and “Dreams” followed.

I was completely impressed by Lindsey Buckingham. The 67 year old poured heart and sweat into the hour and half long sweat. Though I hated the two new songs he played, I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed his voice live. Of course, Stevie was great but Lindsey without a doubt stole the show.

It was quite predictable what song Fleetwood Mac would choose for a encore… “Don’t Stop”. Honestly I can’t stand that song but its a positive note to close the show on.

I decided to take my mom to the show with me, after all it was Mother’s Day and she was the person to introduce me to my favorite album. All and all, it was a great show and a great night. Obviously it would have been way cooler to see Stevie and the gang back in the 70’s but I’ll take what I can get!
